After a long time away, Melbourne-bred Tokyo-based pianist & composer Marty Hicks makes a midwinter journey home to Melbourne and the company of two dear old friends, trumpeter Audrey Powne and vocalist Georgie Darvidis, at Brunswick’s Tempo Rubato. With sonic bonds forged through a mutual love of quiet, richly harmonic jazz & contemporary music, the three will perform intertwining duos and trios of original music and adaptations of old favourites.
